Sugaring is a completely natural and organic form of hair removal that is great for very sensitive skin and skin that is usually prone to redness, irritation and ingrown hairs from traditional waxing methods.

Sugaring is hypoallergenic, and a natural healer of the skin.

Sugaring is very sanitary and hygienic, as only one ball of sugar can remove all of the hair from a large area of the body and is always applied with a gloved hand. No spatulas, popsicle sticks or cotton strips are required and therefore there is no risk of “double dipping” or cross contamination. This also minimizes the amount of waste in landfills.

The sugar ball is NEVER reused, and is always discarded immediately after each client. Bacteria does not breed in and cannot survive in the natural sugar paste.

The sugar is always applied to the skin barely lukewarm, therefore completely eliminating the potential for burning or scarring.

The sugar paste will never adhere to live skin cells and sugaring minimizes the level of discomfort by always removing hair in the natural direction of growth.

The sugar paste is completely water soluble, and can very easily be rinsed off from skin and clothing with warm water. Sugaring works very well on short stubborn hairs, and the sugar paste can safely and effectively be re-applied numerous times over missed hairs without harming the skin.

Sugaring will actually bring the moisture back into the skin after the service, and your skin will feel moist and soft, not dry and irritated.

The sugar paste always stays pliable, supporting the hair and removing it cleanly with less breakage or regrowth. Over time with consistent sugaring, the hair will begin to grow back soft, sparse and less frequently, allowing you to go longer between services and allowing you to get the very best results each time!

NEVER, EVER shave between sugaring appointments!!! Always allow the hair to grow back naturally and maintain a 4 to 6 week regime for best results! If you have shaved your Brazilian area recently, please ensure that you wait at least 12 to 14 days before coming in for a Brazilian sugaring service. This will allow a sufficient amount of hair growth to occur so that the service can be done fully and completely.

Besides being prepared with ingredients that could produce a delicious dessert, the benefits of sugaring extend beyond its pure formula. During application, the sugar paste seeps into the hair follicle, lubricating the hair root for easier removal. Pulling hair out in the same direction of growth lessens strain on the skin and prevents breakage of the hair follicle above or below the skin’s surface. As a result, ingrown hairs don’t form and the surface stays hairless for as long as possible. Over time, when the hairs grow back, they become finer and softer. The skin also gets a bonus smoothing treatment.

I am not going to sugar coat it ladies, there is a noticeable level of discomfort.

Your hair is being removed directly from the root. This being said, I will do everything I can to ensure that your experience is as comfortable and positive as possible. Please feel open to express yourself in any way that you need to get through the worst of the treatment. I will be there right beside you helping you through it all. Even if you need to cry, yell, or curse, our treatment rooms have seen it all! Each person is different, and everyone reacts differently to this type of treatment. There is no shame at all here.

Sugaring is a completely natural and organic form of hair removal that is excellent for very sensitive and highly reactive skin. Sugaring is a wonderful alternative for skin that is usually prone to redness, irritation, and ingrown hairs from traditional waxing methods. The sugar paste is made from only sugar, lemon and water.

It is extremely rare and uncommon to have an allergic reaction to the sugar paste, even for very sensitive skin types. If you have any concerns, or medical conditions that could affect your service, please advise and consult with your Sugaring Specialist prior to your appointment.

If you have any allergies or product sensitivities, please make us aware before your treatment begins.

Avoid sun exposure to any areas that are being treated for at least 24 hours before your appointment and also keep in mind to avoid sun exposure to the area for 48 hours after the service. This includes tanning beds!

If you are sugaring your underarms avoid deodorant for 12 hours prior to your service (instead use only baby powder if necessary) and if you are receiving any kind of face sugaring try to avoid wearing make-up for 12 hours before appointment.

On the day of your appointment do not apply any kind of lotions or oils on the area to be sugared and be sure to always gently exfoliate the area prior to your service.

For brazilian/bikini sugaring be sure to NOT shave at all the area leading up to your appointment. Clients that have a long history of shaving or clients that shave right before a sugaring service may not get the very best results on the first visit. With shaving, the hair grows back in different lengths and different stages and this can greatly affect the quality of service that is achieved from sugaring. Shaving right before a sugaring appointment can also increase the level of pain and discomfort during the service. For sugaring, the hair needs to be approx. 1/4 of an inch in length (or about the length of a grain of rice) to get the best results.

It is extremely important to maintain a regular exfoliation regime after your Brazilian sugaring service to keep up those great results and to prevent ingrown hairs. Please wait a full 24 hours after your Brazilian sugaring service to start exfoliating, and exfoliating 2 to 3 times per week is recommended. Natural exfoliation products are always best (no artificial perfumes or dyes).

We highly recommend pre-booking your sugaring treatments a minimum of 1-2 weeks in advance. This is especially encouraged for evening and weekend appointments.

If you find yourself in a pinch and need to get in ASAP, we will always do our very best to try and accommodate you. It always helps to beg a little bit on the phone lol.

Please ensure that you do NOT shave leading up to your cleanup sugaring appointment (this will definitely increase your ouch factor), and that the hair is a MINIMUM of 3 to 4 weeks of growth.

In order to get the very best results, I recommend coming in every 4-6 weeks.

Please ensure that you do NOT shave in between sugaring treatments. Always allow the hair to grow in naturally for best results. Over time, with regular sugaring sessions, you will start to notice that the hair will grow back thinner, finer, and more sparse.

Pleases schedule a “cleanup” appointment for your regular sessions and that guarantees you a discounted price when you stay within the 4-6 week maintenance period. After 6 weeks, I ask you to schedule a Brazilian.

I have many clients that come in to get sugared during their monthly cycle, and it does not bother me one bit. I do, however, kindly ask that you have a fresh tampon in place during your sugaring session for sensitization and safety reasons. If you forget to bring one, I will have them available upon request.
Women are most sensitive during ovulation (12 days before their period), and least sensitive the week following their period. I recommend booking your appointments during this least sensitive time. If you do come in during your ovulation period, we will always do our very best to ensure that your sugaring experience is as comfortable as possible.
It is absolutely essential to exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate between all of your sugaring sessions! Regular exfoliation prevents ingrown hairs from popping up, and keeps the area soft and smooth. If you are still getting ingrowns after you have followed the above directions, then please discuss with me on your next session.
Don’t plan to get a spray tan before getting getting waxed. I don’t want to take away that glow with the wax.
Absolutely! Sometimes, your skin may feel a bit more tender during pregnancy, but there is no harm to you or your baby.
